Window Cleaning Tips From Cleaning Services

It's seems that windows secretly whisper, "smudge me", every step they get, and we do. Traces of our finger prints are left on office windows, cars, computer screens, televisions; I could go on for days, but you get my drift, right? We're constantly wiping our windows with whatever glass cleaner we can find in the grocery stores. Some fortunate ones hire professional cleaning services, maid service, or janitorial to clean there smudgy windows every week, but who has the surplus of money lying around to do that every week?

You're saying not me right now, aren't you? So we take on the task of cleaning ourselves, but we always leave behind white stripes, and I'm not talking about the band, they look and sound a lot better than our stripes. So, I thought I'd give some advice on how to clean your windows perfectly without any traces left behind as evidence of stumpy scrubbing.

I read somewhere that windows are supposed to be washed twice a year. That sounds stupid doesn't it? Think about the traffic? Not only in your homes, but offices, and other businesses. The windows would be covered completely by a film of dirt if we cleaned our windows only twice a year. Now twice a week sounds more like it. So what's the typical routine? Well in our homes, or small businesses, its wadded-up paper towels or newspaper, spray cleaner, and a ton of elbow grease. But the apparent truth is, all that rubbing isn't a good idea. All we're doing is painting our windows with more dirt, and that never makes for a good finish. So let's learn what the pros do.

What makes cleaning services, janitorial, or maid service windows spotless of dirt? First, they use a squeegee versus wadded up paper towels, or they use microfiber rags, microfiber towels, or microfiber cloths. What? I like being specific. Why microfiber? I covered this in an early article, but for those who missed it microfiber material can hold up to seven times its weight in water and also have the exceptional ability to absorb oils. There are a lot of great glass cleaners out there like windex glass cleaner or a more professional product sky blue glass cleaner.

Different strokes are used depending on what you use to clean the window. If you use a squeegee, pull the squeegee down each window pane in a single stroke from top to bottom. After each stroke, clean the blade with a rag so it doesn't leave streaks, and that's it! You'll have a streak less window perfect for spying on your neighbors. Not that I'm condoning spying on you neighbors, but people are interesting. If you choose to use a microfiber rag, microfiber towel, or a microfiber cloth just spray the window and wipe in a up and down motion. You can leave the cloth dry or wet it, and all dirt will be removed from the window.

Wow! I feel like I've cleaned a few offices, homes, and businesses all in one post! I hope this helps you perfectionist clean without a few headaches.
