The Quick Fix Guide To Cleaning During A Busy Work Week

Most Americans don't have the time in the day or week, for that matter, to clean properly. We let the mess pile up, until the weekend, when all we really want to do is relax, to attempt to clean our homes properly. As dust particles, and bacteria is living in our homes accumulate, we create a hazardous environment to live in. So in the meantime, how can we keep the mess to a limit that will help make cleaning on the weekend less intrusive? What's the quick fix guide to cleaning during a busy work week?

Some people are just naturally good at keeping their rooms or homes tidy, but for the millions of people in the world, who are like me, that's not the case. What can we do to clean our room quick and efficiently? There are certain areas in your home you should keep clean all the time, and I will go over those areas, so when the weekend comes, cleaning will be a breeze! Start by accessing the areas in your home you reside the most. Is it your bedroom, your living room, or do you have a family room? Whatever place it is, this is the problem area you want to focus on during the week. In my case, its my bedroom. My bedroom is a cyclone during the work week, I'm in and out quickly with little time during the week to clean. I came up with a 3 step process, so I wouldn't come home to a messy bedroom.

Step 1: Keep an empty clothes hamper - I pull out many outfits to wear in the morning, most of them I don't end up wearing at all, but I used to leave them on the floor and run out of the house. Then I got tired of coming home to a room I couldn't relax in after a hard days of work. For those of you like me, I now find it important to keep a empty hamper to put clean clothes in that I pull out to wear, and don't wear during the week. This keeps my room from looking like a tornado hit it.

Step 2: Keep a spray bottle of disinfectant - But what about dust and bacteria? This is the most important problem area in homes during busy work weeks without proper cleaning. I always keep a spray bottle of disinfectant to wipe down my dressers, television, and mirrors in my room. I do this every night before I go to bed. This will keep hazardous bacteria, and dust from accumulating in my room. Doing these simple steps doesn't mean that I have a clean room, it just makes the cleaning I'll do on the weekend much more easier.

Step 3: Vacuum or sweep at night - I hate dirty floors. Sometimes I pick up little pieces of paper or lint off the floor whenever I see it. I know its a bit anal but its important to have clean floors, especially if you have a big family going in and out of the house. It's important to vacuum your carpet every night. This will prevent more dirty from accumulating in your home.

If you apply these steps to any room in your home that accumulates the most mess, you'll find that cleaning on the weekend will be a lot less stressful and time consuming.
